Harvest Right
Harvest Right home freeze dryers and accessories, including the Home Pro, Scientific, and Pharmaceutical Pro models, along with trays, mats, lids, mylar bags, oxygen absorbers, and both oil and oil-free vacuum pump options.
The vacuum pump choice matters more than it might seem: oil-free pumps need less maintenance but run louder and slightly less efficiently than oil-lubricated pumps, which need periodic oil changes but run quieter.
Freeze-dried food stored properly (mylar bags plus oxygen absorbers) has a much longer shelf life than dehydrated food, since freeze-drying removes nearly all moisture without the heat damage a dehydrator causes.
