• (1) 20 lb Super‑Gas Activated Carbon Filter for Airpura 900‑series

Install steps (about 5–10 minutes)

1. Power down and unplug; remove any hose/arm from the top inlet.
2. Unlatch the four top latches; lift off the top and foam gasket.
3. Lift out the used carbon canister; bag and discard per local rules.
4. Vacuum/wipe the compartment, drop in the new canister(s), re‑seat the gasket, and relatch.
5. Restore power; run on MAX briefly to confirm airflow.
   

FAQs

How many carbon filters does my unit use?
Airpura 900 uses one 20 lb carbon filter. 900 MAX uses two 20 lb carbon filters (40 lb total). (Shown on page 4 of each manual’s carbon‑filter section.)

When should I replace the carbon filter?
When you notice off‑gassing or odors returning. Heavy VOC/smoke loads can saturate carbon within weeks.

Does humidity affect performance?
Yes. High humidity reduces carbon performance. Keep the area ≤50% RH.

Any safety tips during service?
Remove any hose/duct before opening the top, and turn the unit OFF before plugging in after service. Do not use in flammable atmospheres.
