Epoch Batteries 48V 125Ah Essential Series LiFePO4 Battery (6.4kWh)

• 48V 125Ah Essential Series LiFePO4 (6.40kWh): Heated 48V deep-cycle power for off-grid and solar storage, RV, van and boat house power, golf carts and backup systems, storing 6,400Wh (nominal, 51.2V) in one battery built for a dry, protected location.
• VICTRON CAN COMMS: Reports to a Victron Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX over CAN-bus. With DVCC on, the GX applies the battery's charge voltage limit and discharge current limit to the Victron chargers and inverter chargers, and the battery's integrated shunt supplies state of charge, so a separate battery monitor is not required. Linked batteries select a master automatically, with no DIP switches or addresses, and the GX shows the whole bank as one battery.
• BOTH COMMUNICATION CABLES INCLUDED: In the box with the battery are a battery-to-battery communication cable for linking RS485-OUT to the next battery's RS485-IN, and a master battery-to-Victron CAN cable that runs from the CAN port of Battery 1 (the first battery in the chain) to the GX's BMS-Can or VE.Can 2 port. Make only one CAN connection per bank.
• High-Output Power Delivery: 150A maximum continuous discharge and 300A peak for up to 10 seconds for start-up surges from inverters, motors and compressors. At 51.2V, 150A is about 7,680W of DC power before inverter losses; size the system by the inverter's DC input current, not its AC output, and keep any load lasting longer than 10 seconds at or below 150A.
• 150A Charging, 48V LiFePO4 Profile: Accepts up to 150A continuous charge from all sources combined, with up to 62.5A (0.5C) recommended. Program every source for 48V LiFePO4: 56.8V–57.6V bulk/absorption, float 54.0V–55.2V or off (preferred), equalization and temperature compensation disabled, and never program a charge voltage above 57.6V (58.0V is the maximum charge voltage).
• HEATED for Cold-Weather Charging: Rated to charge from -30°C to 55°C (-22°F to 131°F) with internal heating. When the cells reach 0°C (32°F), the BMS stops charging and sends the incoming charge current from a connected charger (at least 0.5A) to the internal heating pads, never stored battery energy; charging resumes automatically when the cells reach 5°C (41°F). Discharge is rated from -20°C to 55°C (-4°F to 131°F).
• BLUETOOTH Monitoring: The Epoch Li-Ion app for iOS and Android shows state of charge, voltage, current, temperature and protection status, and switches charging and discharging on or off independently. While the POWER button has discharge switched off, the app cannot switch discharge on or off, and neither the app nor the button is a means of isolation; for storage or service, open a DC disconnect or remove the battery cables.
• 2A Active Cell Balancing: Moves charge between the 16 cells whenever their voltages differ by more than 0.015V, keeping them matched without user intervention.
• Smart BMS Protection: Built-in protection against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and high or low temperature, with an integrated shunt (0.2A accuracy on discharge) for state of charge. It does not replace correctly sized fuses or breakers.
• Parallel Expansion, No Series: Up to 15 matched 48125A-COMM batteries in parallel (1,875Ah / 96.00kWh at 51.2V). Series wiring is not approved for this model.
• IP54 Rated ABS Case: Dust-protected and splash-resistant, 25.2 × 9.65 × 8.66 in (640 × 245 × 220 mm), 110 lb (50 kg). IP54 is not waterproof: install it upright in a dry, protected location, and do not submerge it, pressure wash it or mount it where standing water can collect.
